Matt's fiction spans many genres. While his primary interest and passion is science fiction, he also writes human interest stories, horror, and thrillers.

Recently, Matt served as technical adviser on the early issues of DC Comics title "Green Lantern" for writer Geoff Johns. According to Geoff, Matt’s ‘been reading the scripts…He’s been invaluable to the USAF side of the book.’

He also has a new novel in the wings called Honor, a page-turning espionage thriller that takes place in the near future at his alma mater, the United States Air Force Academy. Honor is represented by Matt's agent, Ms. Nancy Ellis-Bell, of "Books at Bullgdog."
Ms. Ellis-Bell is currently searching for a publisher for the novel.

His first book was an epic science fiction drama called The Calling.
